Decision Maker Research: Named Contacts, Not Job Titles

A good account list is worthless if the message lands with the wrong person. Decision maker research identifies, by name, the individuals inside each target account who own or influence the decision to buy what you sell — and just as importantly, filters out the people who merely have a relevant-sounding title.

What decision maker research actually involves

In technical B2B this is rarely one person. A capital equipment purchase may involve a production or plant manager who feels the pain, a design or process engineer who writes the specification, a purchasing lead who negotiates it, and a managing director who signs. We map that structure per account and choose the right entry point for your offer, rather than defaulting to the CEO in every company.

Every contact is reviewed individually: current employer confirmed, role confirmed against the company's own material, seniority assessed, and account fit re-checked. Contacts we can't confirm are dropped — they cost more in bounce rate and sender reputation than they could ever return.

Where this fits in our 6-step process

This is step three of our process, decision-maker discovery, delivered on its own. It usually follows prospect research, but we can also run it against an account list you already own.

Who this is for

Teams that already know which companies they want to reach — from a trade-fair exhibitor list, a CRM export, or their own market knowledge — but need the right named humans inside them, with verified, current details.

FAQ

Decision Maker Research — questions buyers ask

How many contacts do you find per account?

Typically one to three, chosen for relevance rather than coverage. Mailing five people at a 60-person company reads as spam internally and gets the domain blocked; two well-chosen contacts do not.

How do you confirm someone is still in the role?

We cross-check the company's own website and published material, public professional profiles and recent activity, then validate the email address technically. Where signals conflict, the contact is excluded.

Do you provide direct phone numbers?

Where a business number is publicly available we include it, usually the company or departmental line. We don't source personal mobile numbers.

Can you find contacts in non-English-speaking markets?

Yes. Role titles are researched in the local language — Geschäftsführer, Betriebsleiter, Responsable des achats, Inkoopmanager — because searching only English titles misses most of the real buying committee in continental Europe.
